Seasons
The balmy months between June & September showcase some of the best Maine has to offer: refreshing ocean breezes, long sunny days stretching into mild nights, meals of fresh seafood on outdoor patios, we could go on and on.
With so much to see and do, Maine summer wedding itineraries here at French’s Point are as varied as our couples themselves.
Here in Maine, Fall wedding celebrations have become popular, & now rival the summer season for the most sought-after wedding dates. Our seaside location makes us the perfect spot to take in the crisp salt air & brilliant fall foliage that autumn in Maine offers.
Outdoor weddings can be absolutely gorgeous, especially in Maine, where we are blessed to experience the four seasons, each with its own charm and beauty. Spring weddings, combined with the smell of fresh flowers and signs of new life, set the perfect stage to begin a new chapter of your life. Spring is the perfect time for those who want to avoid the crowds & heat of the summer wedding season. A spring wedding allows greater availability of the best wedding vendors for your Maine wedding.
The winter season is Maine’s best-kept secret, and an incredibly romantic time to wed (so much so that French Point’s owner chose February for her own nuptials). Guests can cozy up and sleigh rides and snowman-making contests, and enjoy cross-country ski and snow shoes outings in neighboring Sandy Point State Park. An outdoors wedding ceremony can be warm and intimate with the help of patio heaters, coffee stations and gifts of lap blankets and hand warmers distributed to guests, before dinner service in the conservatory, with walls of windows to frame frosty views to be enjoyed in comfort from in front of roaring fire place.
