When it comes to finding the perfect wedding venue, New England offers many stunning options for couples looking to create a memorable wedding experience. In this comprehensive guide, we will provide important tips and considerations to help you find your dream New England wedding venue, with a focus on luxury and creating a memorable experience for your guests.
Before embarking on the search for your dream wedding venue, take some time to reflect on your vision for the big day. Discuss with your partner what aspects are most important to you both. Consider the style, ambiance, location, and amenities that make your wedding special. A clear vision will guide your search and help you narrow your options.

Another way to start your search for a New England wedding venue is with thorough online research. Use wedding directories, websites, and social media platforms to gather information about potential venues. Read reviews, view photos and videos, and explore virtual tours to get a sense of each venue’s atmosphere and offerings.
Additionally, seek recommendations from friends, family, or wedding professionals with industry experience. Personal recommendations can provide valuable insights and help you discover hidden gems that may not be widely known.
Identifying who will contribute to your wedding budget and establishing a total budget are crucial steps in the planning process. Understanding your budget constraints will help you focus your search on venues that align with your financial plan. Many upscale venues offer a broad range of inclusive amenities that reduce the need for your investment in other categories, or they offer season-variable pricing that can help you achieve your dream wedding within your budget.
When looking at venues, it can often feel like comparing apples to oranges, as each venue includes different amenities and services. At French’s Point, we simplify your decision by providing an abundantly appointed venue with a wide array of event settings (for any weather), including a sailcloth tent, essential amenities, such as a catering tent and catering kitchen, restrooms, parking facilities, a complete-property automatic generator, and necessary event equipment like tables, chairs, lounge furniture, and bars. We also provide exclusive lodging in 26 suites in our three luxury homes at the estate. Knowing you will have access to these provisions and accommodations ensures you know exactly what to expect, making your planning process smoother and more enjoyable. With French’s Point, you will have a beautiful venue and a seamless experience on your wedding day.
Once you have a shortlist of potential venues, schedule tours to see them in person. This is an opportunity to experience the ambiance, explore the facilities, envision how your wedding can unfold in each space, and meet the owner or property manager. Consider factors such as the size of the venue, available/inclusive amenities, proximity to accommodations, flexibility with outside vendors for services the venue does not offer, and any additional services offered.
During your tour, don’t hesitate to ask questions about specific requirements or concerns you may have. It’s important to clearly understand what each venue can provide and any limitations or restrictions that may apply. It is also important to be sure you have a good level of confidence in the venue management.
