Our Favorite Brunch Spots

French's Point

Brunch is such a great meal to catch up with friends and family. Near French’s Point, there are a couple of tasty spots that we just love to hang out in on a Sunday morning.

Belfast’s Nautilus Seafood and Grill is known for all things seafood, and the restaurant’s brunch is a no-fail favorite. Nautilus has a comfortable, family-friendly dining room with a beautiful view of Penobscot Bay. Menu options include omelets with local crabmeat, a savory waffle with homemade sausage gravy and red onion marmalade, and a delicious smoked salmon hash. Entrees usually range in price from $7-$12. Brunch is served 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Another local favorite is Chase’s Daily, also in Belfast. Chase’s is known for its vegan, vegetarian, and farm-to-table fare. (Beware meat-eaters – Chase’s is exclusively vegetarian!) The open dining room has an earthy-crunchy, cozy atmosphere, and it bustles on Sunday mornings. The homemade baked goods are outstanding, especially the muffins, and you’ll find all kinds of veggie and tofu takes on traditional breakfast dishes. Expect to pay $10-$15 for entrées.

Chase’s is popular, so show up early if you want to avoid what could be a long wait for a table. The restaurant is open for brunch on Sundays from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
