There will never be enough words to describe how happy and satisfied we were with French’s Point (and Jessika & Nicole)! We found French’s Point in a magazine and just knew we had to set up a tour. From the second we walked into the venue we fell in love with it and couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Jessika and Nicole were incredible to work with, they always made time to answer our questions, give us suggestions, and help turn our dream wedding into a reality. Nicole was our wedding coordinator and we cherished and valued the relationship – Nicole was attentive, polite, professional, accommodating, timely, and understanding.

We had both our rehearsal dinner and wedding at French’s Point. The venue is out of a dream – an exquisite estate right on the water. Our guests stayed at Beach Rose Farm House for the weekend, which was equally as beautiful. Our extended family members stayed at other houses located on or near the property, which was very convenient as everything was in walking distance once our guests arrived.

Our wedding day is one we want to relive over and over again, in large part because of the location. We are so happy we chose French’s Point – beautiful, timeless and classy. It is unlike any other wedding venue. Every guest was blown away by the sheer and unique beauty and we continue to receive compliments daily!

French's Point Review - Destination Wedding Venue - Coastal Maine Wedding Venue - Amanda McCoy Photography

Married on October 13th, 2018

Our October wedding at French’s Point was simply amazing. Back in the planning stages, we had plans to tour six or seven other venues, but we canceled all our other tours after we toured French’s Point because we knew we’d just seen something special and that it wouldn’t get any better.

We were right. Everything about the estate is amazing–the location, the view, the estate house itself. It’s warm, welcoming, and elegant. The staff is sweet, encouraging, communicative, and helpful. They provided us with suggestions and inspiration that made our day unique and fun.

If you book the venue, you should also consider booking the adjacent farmhouse for your family and wedding party. It’s a quaint, cozy, and adorable place to stay, but it’s also incredibly handy to have the wedding party within walking distance of the venue. We were so happy we made the choice to book the farmhouse too!

I can’t thank Jessika and Nicole enough; they were amazing, and I get misty just thinking about what a wonderful day they helped us create. I loved everything about it! We even battled a little rain and couldn’t get married outside at the gazebo like we planned, but it didn’t for one second feel like a compromise to get married in the lovely estate. This place is just heaven!

French's Point Real Review - Spring Wedding in Maine - Destination Wedding Venue - Photography by the Light & Color

Melanie & Cornelius

Married on May 26th, 2018

I didn’t know a lot about what I wanted for my wedding but I knew I wanted to be married on the water, but not on sand, because heels and sand don’t mix. Well after searching around, my husband found the perfect wedding venue to fit that criteria, French’s Point in Stockton Springs, Maine. My mom went to go and tour it since we live out on the west coast, and immediately they said that this was the perfect place for us. With gorgeous panoramic views of the bay, and the secluded private event feel, it gave us a breathtaking wedding that we both always desired. From their many fire-pits, to amazing tent, to cozy farmhouse rentals, the property gave us everything and more.

There were a few challenges during the planning period as the venue was going through some major changes at the time and has since altered the way they book the events but the team was very responsive and helpful through many scheduling phone calls. They were patient and understanding of our cross country communication, as we live in CA. Come wedding weekend, we were able to sit back and truly relax as family and friends the way we desired and the team was attentive to all our needs. And when the actual day came, Nicole was there to make sure everything ran smoothly, and hopefully enjoyed the fun times we had during our photo shoot. I would definitely recommend French’s Point as the best authentic Maine wedding destination!

Real Review: Recommend Without Reservation

Abbey & Jacob_an MacLellan and Emma Scudder Photography - Real Review of French's Point_Coastal Maine Wedding Venue

My husband and I got married here in July, and could not be more thankful we chose French’s Point. From the very beginning to end, the owners and staff were exceptionally professional, organized, and available for suggestions, questions, and concerns. Most importantly, they are genuinely kind-hearted people who don’t just run a business — they clearly find joy in serving their clients.

The venue itself is exactly as pictured — views are breathtaking, property is beautifully maintained (by the entire family  and is overall just… so peaceful.

We rented the both the Farm House & Retreat for the weekend and all our guests couldn’t stop raving about the accommodations, quality of service, and venue as a whole. We recommend without reservation!

Real Review: Gorgeous Location, Excellent Service

Coastal Maine wedding venue

The first thing you notice when you arrive at French’s Point is the ocean. The views are breathtakingly beautiful, especially on a sunny day. Once you have taken in your natural surrounding you start to notice the beauty of everything else. The landscaping at French’s Point is immaculate. Over the course of my engagement I visited French’s Point several times during three of the four seasons. Each time I visited the seasonal flower variety only added to the natural beauty of the location.

Overall, the venue was gorgeous and the service was excellent.

The interior of French’s Point is almost as beautiful as the outside. The large windows allow guests access to the view while enjoying dinner and dancing. We had 150 guests at our September wedding, which was a perfect fit for this location. All of our guests comfortably fit into the dinner room and left plenty of room for dancing and visiting in the other rooms. Because the weather cooperated we were able to enjoy a cocktail hour on the patio. An additional bar was set-up outside for the cocktail hour to better serve the guests.

This is the best location and venue I have ever seen for a wedding!

We have received and continue to receive raving reviews about the French’s Point venue, including a friend’s mother saying “my son is definitely getting married here.” My grandfather, who is not quick to give out compliments, said “this is the best location and venue I have ever seen for a wedding.”

We were able to have our hair and makeup done onsite while enjoying the beautiful views and the ocean breeze.

The bridal suite upstairs was the perfect place for me and my bridal party to get ready. We were able to have our hair and makeup done onsite while enjoying the beautiful views and the ocean breeze. The service while we were getting ready was also excellent. There was always someone checking in to see if how everything was going and if we needed anything.

Jessika, the owner of French’s Point, was also a pleasure to work with. She is very professional. The French’s Point website also offers a wealth of knowledge on local vendors and things to do while in the area. I referenced and referred it constantly during the wedding planning process. Overall, the venue was gorgeous and the service was excellent.

Real Review: Wedding Weekend Bliss

“We could not be happier with our decision to host both our wedding and reception at French’s Point! They were there every step of the way, answering questions, providing guidance, and soothing nerves.

You will find no finer people and no finer location.

Being able to stay in their farmhouse and spend time with our family and friends prior to the wedding was the icing on the cake to an absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception. It was the first and BEST decision we made in our wedding planning process.”

The Ultimate Private, Secluded, Romantic, Waterfront Venue

The ultimate private, secluded, romantic waterfront Maine venue! Michelle Turner Photography

When Marc and I set about finding a location for our wedding ceremony and reception we knew we wanted waterfront and we wanted to be in Maine, preferably not far from where we live, which is on Mount Desert Island. One of my bridesmaids recommended we tour French’s Point. So we called and they gave us the bridal suite for a night! We didn’t know what to expect, and when you drive up to the Estate we were filled with anticipation. The Point is breathtaking. It is a family run business and Jessika’s mother is in charge of the gardening. The grounds are lovingly cared for by her. On our actual wedding day it was the summer solstice and the lilacs and wild roses were in flower. As soon as you walked onto the property the air was filled with their perfume. It is a scent that will always take me back to our wedding day.

It is Jessika and her trusty team that make this place special and stand out from the rest.

Marc and I rented Beach Rose farm, and we had all our immediate family and wedding party stay there. This was the perfect choice for us as we run a vacation rental business. So it just made sense for us to rent the farm, and other cottages on the point. We wanted people to feel like it was a wedding within a holiday, and it was great to have everyone enjoy their trip to Maine without rushing.

There is not one area that makes French’s Point special, every part is given the same thought and care. There are several fire pits, grills, gorgeous overlooks over the water, swings etc. And they keep improving. We planned our wedding for two years and in that time, they made many improvements and renovations, adding a new sail cloth tent, renovating rooms at the farm, adding gardens, etc. However, above all, it is Jessika and her trusty team that make this place special and stand out from the rest.

They are calming and sensitive to every need and know how to keep the day on track.

After planning a wedding I know how stressful it can be, and how important it is to have a good relationship with your vendors. The most frustrating thing can be is not hearing back from someone promptly. I never had this problem with French’s Point. Everyone listens and gives great advice. And on the day they are calming and sensitive to every need and know how to keep the day on track. I can’t say enough good things about the French’s Point family. If you are dithering between here and somewhere else, look no further. You have found the ultimate private, secluded, romantic spot on earth.

Real Review: Best Decision We Made

Real review of French's Point a coastal Maine wedding venue

I don’t even know where to start – French’s Point was everything we could’ve asked for and more. I found them in a Destination Wedding magazine, went to the website, and fell in love. We took a lot of scary steps, planning a wedding from Texas and signing our contract “site-unseen” but every risk we took was rewarded with an amazing experience from start to finish.

…an amazing experience from start to finish.

The staff are warm, friendly, and very attentive. I felt like we had become friends by the end of our experience, and I miss our weekly email exchanges!! Who can say that about their wedding venue contacts?!?! We did almost all our communications via email, which were always prompt and thorough. They were also great about planning conference calls to keep me on target with all the little details. Since we didn’t live in Maine, they also gave excellent vendor recommendations, and every single vendor was fantastic.

The site itself is stunning – and we also took advantage of renting Beach Rose Farm for Wednesday – Sunday. This was one of my favorite parts of our destination weekend – walking around the farmhouse watching all our closest friends hanging out, playing games, and enjoying each other’s company – and enjoying Maine as well (a first time visit for almost everyone attending our wedding)!!

I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

During the ceremony the staff kept everything running smoothly and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The service staff were super attentive and friendly. I had guests tell me it was the best service they’ve experienced EVER. We ended the night with the s’mores fire pit and it was a huge hit!

Guests [told] me it was the best service they’ve experienced EVER.

All in all, French’s Point was the best decision we made for our wedding celebration weekend.

Real Review: Falling in Love is Easy

Coastal Maine wedding venue

Our wonderful client, Heather, wrote this beautiful and heartfelt review of French’s Point. She really sums it up by saying:

If you want a quintessential, classic, coastal Maine wedding, I guarantee you this place will not disappoint!

Here’s the whole review:

“Falling in love is easy. Planning a wedding can be challenging. But French’s Point will far surpass all your expectations, I promise! Getting married here was more than a wedding, it was an experience and provided ourselves and our guests with a lifetime of memories to walk away with. Our entire experience with French’s Point was amazing, as a result, our wedding was spectacular!

French’s Point will far surpass all your expectations!

From the very beginning when my husband emailed them to inquire about wedding packages and availability to the day after our wedding we were greeted with true wedding professionalism and highly experienced staff. Our planner, Christina, was a gem to work with, she was always so calm, efficient, kind, and really cares about making your experience exactly what you want it to be! We were able to get married outside and the reception was held inside the Estate and was nothing short of fabulous. I cannot tell you how many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to and how many of guests complimented the wait staff and bar staff noting how attentive and professional they all were. One of my friends stated that she felt so special because the servers were so good! We also still have guests raving about how good the food was!

We were greeted with true wedding professionalism and highly experienced staff.

Then there is the Beach Rose Farm House, oh the Farm House! I highly recommended renting the Farm House, not only can you have a amazing wedding day with French’s Point, you have the option to make it an amazing long weekend! Everyone that stayed with us at the Farm House stated that it was one of the best weekend’s of their lives! It was so much fun to get to spend the days leading up to our wedding with our most favorite people! If you want a quintessential, classic, coastal Maine wedding, I guarantee you this place will not disappoint! The grounds at the Estate are breathtaking and all your wedding photos can be right there without having to drive all over the place to find the perfect spot. I can assuredly say that our wedding day was everything I ever dreamed of and more, French’s Point will always have a special place in my heart.”

Glowing Review from a French’s Point Bride

Glowing Review from a French's Point Bride | Justin Marantz Photography

Once in a while, in the middle of a busy day with an endless list of things that need to be accomplished, something extraordinary happens that forces you to pause, and really acknowledge the impact you have on the people that your life touches. That is exactly what happened earlier this year when I got the notification from Facebook that French’s Point received another 5-star review. I watch those reviews very closely because they are all incredibly important to my family and our business and to me personally. Each review is so important. It says we made enough of an impression on that person for them to be compelled to invest a few more moments of their time to give us their positive feedback. That is really something in today’s world with so many outlets for distraction and requests for one’s attention.

And this recent review really made an impact on me. Here’s why. Five years ago, I met a sweet, incredibly talented, kind, professional wedding photographer, Spring Smith from Spring Smith Studios. A few months later after collaborating with this beautiful soul, we hosted her wedding, which was full of personal touches, palpable love and wonderful people. It was a proud day because I knew she had the day she dreamed of and worked so hard to create. She assembled an incredible team of wedding professionals who loved her and worked to provide her with a day filled with memories she can cherish for a lifetime. Her wedding vendors did this because to know Spring is to love her. And I do so very much love her…not just for her kind words here, but also because she continues to care for and invest in me, in French’s Point, and my family. Thank you Spring! xoxo

French’s Point is extraordinary. I am in the wedding industry and chose French’s Point for my own wedding 4+ years ago for multiple reasons. The estate is stunning, the location is classic Maine and the owners are the sweetest people on the planet. I wanted my wedding to be intimate and special and getting married at a huge hotel or anything corporate owned wasn’t even a consideration. My husband and I wanted to start our lives together somewhere special, somewhere with meaning and history. We couldn’t have been happier with everything. If you want a wedding venue that cares about you and your family this is the place, if you want a venue thats classic and timeless this is the place and if you want to start your lives together somewhere you’ll be taken care of so that you can ENJOY your wedding vs stress about it – this is the place.
