A summer wedding in Maine is a magical experience. It’s the perfect place, at the perfect time. If you’ve ever dreamed of getting married outdoors, you can’t do better than during the summertime in Maine, when the days are sunny and full of gentle warmth, the smell of pine trees and saltwater perfumes the air, and the picturesque scenery provides a romantic backdrop for your celebration.
Your Guests Will Always Remember Your Maine Summer Wedding
Your guests will be thrilled that you chose to get married in Maine in the summer. They will eagerly attend your wedding weekend and enjoy the opportunity to explore Maine. They can make a vacation of their time in Maine and can explore the charming towns (each with its own personality), unique shops, restaurants, and historical sites. The people of Maine are warm, friendly, and welcoming.
In the mornings your guests can relax on a deck or terraces with a cup of coffee or tea while taking in the view. Your guests can hike the dramatic coastline and mountain trails, or stroll along a peaceful forest path. Those who want to be active can paddle a kayak, go for a jog or peddle a bicycle on the quiet coastal roads, or enjoy yoga on the oceanfront lawn. The world-famous seafood, of course, is an experience not to be missed. Imagine you and your guests gathered together for a lobster bake outside, along the promenade, enjoying each other’s company and the mild night air, old-fashioned gas light fixtures casting a romantic glow. This will be a meal that your guests will never forget and an experience that will offer memories that will last a lifetime.
And don’t forget about dessert! If you’ve never had blueberry pie made from fresh wild Maine blueberries, you and your guests are in for a treat. Summer is the best time to indulge when the blueberries are in peak season. And while Maine is one of the world’s top blueberry producers, Maine folks also have a special place in their hearts for whoopie pie, that delicious combination of chocolate and marshmallow fluff. And who wouldn’t want to cap off the evening with toasted s’mores, around a fire pit, while you enjoy the view of the stars?
