When couples search for the perfect coastal Maine destination wedding venue, they’re often looking for more than just a beautiful backdrop—they want an experience. At French’s Point, we’re honored to host couples from all over the country (and the world) who choose to celebrate their wedding weekend here at our oceanfront estate.
We’re grateful for the kind words our couples share in Google reviews and on our testimonial page. Based on their feedback, we’re sharing the top five things couples consistently love most about getting married at French’s Point.
1. An Entire Weekend to Celebrate with Family & Friends
“It felt like an elevated summer camp for adults where we were able to spend real time with the people we love most.” – Clare, 2022 Bride
Unlike single-day venues, French’s Point is exclusively yours for the entire weekend. That means no rushing in or out. Instead, couples enjoy a private, multi-day celebration where everyone can settle in, relax, and truly connect—from welcome dinners to s’mores by the fire.
2. Unmatched Coastal Beauty and Privacy
“The view of the water is jaw-dropping and the sunset is nothing short of magical.” – Erica, 2023 Bride
Tucked away on the coast of Maine, our private waterfront estate offers panoramic ocean views, golden-hour sunsets, and a sense of peaceful seclusion offers intimate connections. Couples love the natural beauty and the sense of being a world away while still easily accessible for guests.
3. So Many Spaces to Make Your Own
“Every inch of the property was designed to host, gather, and create moments.” – Jennifer, 2023 Bride
From the Promenade to the sailcloth tent, the Conservatory to the many terraces with fire pits, there are 15 versatile spaces to use across your weekend gatherings. Couples appreciate the freedom to design a wedding weekend that reflects their style—whether it’s a formal seated dinner or a laid-back al fresco lobster bake.
4. Onsite Lodging That Feels Like Home
“We had 50 of our closest family and friends stay with us on the property, and it made the weekend that much more special.” – Colton, 2022 Groom
With three beautiful homes on property—the Retreat House, Farm House, and Beach House—French’s Point accommodates up to 60 guests across 26 suites. Couples love waking up surrounded by loved ones, sharing coffee on the porch, and keeping everyone together in one magical place.
5. A Seamless Experience with a Supportive Team
“The team was incredibly responsive, supportive, and helpful from day one. We never felt like just another wedding.” – Nicole, 2021 Bride
Planning a wedding—especially a destination celebration—can feel overwhelming. Couples consistently mention how supported they felt throughout the process. From providing vendor referrals to detailed planning resources, our goal is to make your planning process as smooth as the ocean breeze.
