From Lisa and Jesse’s traditional lobster bake rehearsal dinner to their formal four-course seated dinner service, we loved every moment of this celebration. Everything was gorgeous without being overdone and elegant without being stuffy. After a few days of dreary and overcast weather, we were blessed with two days of sunshine for the family and friends of Lisa and Jesse. On Friday, guests enjoyed a quintessential Maine culinary experience of a lobster bake by French’s Point’s Shoreline Lobster Bake Company just as much as they enjoyed peeking into our lobster pit filled with steaming lobsters and seaweed.  Saturday began as the families enjoyed waking on the property at Beach Rose Farm, swinging on the porch and taking in the sea air. Judy Bourgeois of Flora Fauna put the final touches on the stunning arrangements for the wedding using bright green glass, rustic wooden boxes and vintage Fenton glass filled with many different types of floral including hydrangea, sweet pea and peonies.

Lisa’s deep purple sash stood out as she made her way down the terraces and promenade to take Jesse’s hand. While Jesse and Lisa were whisked away for photos, guests enjoyed spicy mushroom stuffed phyllo triangles, carrot ginger soup shooters in a demitasse, mini tarragon crab salad in a white roll and the favorite amongst the crowd, garlic marinated lollipop lamb chops with mint sauce. Guests were entertained with music by DJ Danny DeBruin from Northeast DJ’s until the first course was placed. Between courses, guests enjoyed the traditional first dance of Lisa and Jesse, wonderful toasts made by Justin, Lisa’s brother, Kelly, Jesse’s sister and Ben, as well as the classic Mother/Son and Father/Daughter dances. After the beautiful cake by Sticky Fingers was cut, Jesse and Lisa made a speech, thanking everyone, especially their parents for making the beautiful day possible. We are perpetually reminded of how lucky we are to be here and how we provide each client with a lifetime of memories.
