Reviews of French's Point Wedding and Event Venue in Maine

My husband and I got married at French’s Point in early September and the experience was nothing short of magical. The property is gorgeous with beautiful gardens that overlook the ocean with every color of hydrangea in bloom. The pictures don’t even do it justice, it looks even more spectacular in person.

Our guests are still raving about the venue. The houses on the property were lovely and very well maintained. We were looking for a coastal venue with a sailcloth tent for our reception and while there are a few properties that fit the description in New England- none offer the privacy of French’s Point. We loved having the property to ourselves for the weekend and being able to connect with our friends and family for a relaxing and intimate weekend. We were even able to include our dog in our events which meant a lot to us.

Jessika was great to work with- she was very responsive and helpful throughout our planning process. I really can’t say enough good things about French’s Point!

We truly cannot thank you all enough for a more beautiful or perfect weekend. From the moment the four of us first stepped on-site we fell in love, and every one of our family & friends felt the same when they arrived. There is something special beyond words about French’s Point, and you can see and feel the care & attention that goes into every space, both inside & out.

The Retreat was an absolute dream to stay in all weekend and no one ever wanted to leave, and the shared spaces were all so beautiful and warm that everyone there felt welcomed. The Farm House was loved by the entire wedding party, and each room was perfected and appreciated. Last but certainly not least the tent and grounds were stunning & needed nothing to be wedding ready, and the many photos Brendan captured say it all.

We have all reflected often about how beautiful and perfect everything was for the entire weekend, and cannot thank you enough for making it a truly unforgettable event. We will hold the fondest memories at French’s Point always and are so grateful to have been able to work with such a wonderful and special group of people. Thank you for everything.

Everything about FP is perfect. We traveled to Maine to be married, and we found it online. We signed sight-unseen and visited once prior to our wedding weekend. It was nerve-wracking, but now we cannot recommend FP enough! The venue is gorgeous. 100% of our guests traveled from out of town, and many were annoyed to travel to Maine. Once everyone saw FP, they fell in love with it. It’s the most beautiful spot, and many told us it was the prettiest wedding location they’d ever seen. The grounds and estate are stunning.

You have so many things there: getting-ready rooms, a honeymoon suite, ballrooms, and a covered tent. It’s all included. Then there’s a gorgeous 12-bedroom rental home next door (with 13 bathrooms). It’s so much fun walking between FP and the house. There are fire pits, beaches, volleyball courts, and tons of land. We loved having our bridal party stay together.

The reason we LOVED FP was the customer service the week of the wedding. The team is amazing. They took care of every detail and once we communicated our plans, we handed it off to them & they handled every single thing. They are the most professional, yet warm people to work with!

My December winter wedding at French’s Point was a dream. We had a 50 person wedding with every guest staying on-site at French’s Point. Friday was beautiful and we were greeted by Kim, who was an angel all weekend. She warmly greeted us and showed us around the property. I had never seen FP in person, but with all their communication, on-line virtual tours, and resources I felt so prepared. The venue and views were even more gorgeous in person, and guests couldn’t get over pretty it was. We were over the moon. Friday night welcome party was a hit, and Kim’s help made it so easy!

Saturday STORMED. Like sideways rain and insane wind, the entire day. Kim and FP were great. If there were any issues with rain or power, it didn’t reach me and was clearly handled. The retreat house was perfect for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and after-party in the basement. We couldn’t go outside at all for photos, but the retreat house is so classic that we had plenty of room to take fun photos inside. Vendors found the site easy and the FP recommended vendors were awesome.

We woke up Sunday to a beautiful sunrise and clear skies. Everyone was so sad to leave, and rightfully so. The Farm House fit lots of family and friends and the large size was perfect for a Sunday brunch. The Beach House was cozy with amazing views and room for everyone to hang-out.

I’d recommend French’s Point to anyone looking for an intimate venue with epic views and an amazing staff. It was worth every penny and I’d do it a million times over again.
