I’ve been baking for clients for the past 25 years but have focused on wedding cakes since 2013.
I can accommodate most food allergies. I am not an allergen-free kitchen, however. This week I had a tasting with a bride who is allergic to eggs. She loved my vegan chocolate cake and is having white chocolate cream cheese frosting on her wedding cake, in place of my usual Italian meringue buttercream.
$6- $9 per person. Some are more, some are less, depending on flavors and decor.
Most of my cakes have a casual or classic feel, with soft buttercream and fresh flowers. Naked cakes feature fresh fruits and greens. Fondant allows a range of design elements, including marbled finishes, ruffles, plaques with piped monograms, metallic accents and dramatic colors.
Nutella straight out of the jar, minimal clean-up and I don’t have to turn on an oven.
Anything that gets me out on the water. I grew up on sailboats so delivering cakes to islands or coastal venues is a lot of fun for me. Riding the Casco Bay Ferry Lines along its summer route is a big treat.
