While gorgeous coastal views are spectacular to look at all year round, you wouldn’t exactly want to break out your beach chair and bathing suit at French’s Point come Wintertime.  So what, exactly, is there to do around here should you decide to have a beautiful Winter wedding? We’re so glad you asked! If you’ve got your own gear, we have fields and a beautiful two-mile trail that travels along the Sandy Point State Park, which is right outside our back door! We also have plenty of hills perfect for sledding, snowshoeing and sleigh rides!

Looking to take a trip or rent some gear? Within a quick 35 minute drive to French’s Point are two beautiful areas to cross country (nordic) ski and snowshoe. Take your family on a snow-filled adventure the morning of the wedding, or plan a post-wedding escape for just the two of you the next day.

Ducktrap River Loop, 57 Littler River Drive, Belfast, Maine. Located 30 minutes from French’s Point featuring 8 trails covering 10 miles of open wilderness.

Fields Pond Nature Center Loop, 216 Fileds Pond Road, Holden Maine.  Located 35 minutes from French’s point and features 170 acres of pine and cedar trees as well as flat fields.  Here you’ll find ample opportunity for spotting some wildlife and/or their tracks.
