When a couple in the restaurant industry in New York City decides to wed in Maine, amazing things can happen. And that is just what transpired for Amanda’s and Dennis’s Midcoast Maine wedding here at French’s Point. Because of their passion for food, these two wanted to create a special dining experience for their guests. In order to share the very best of what Maine has to offer, they enlisted the help of NYC chef Danny Newberg to cater their wedding. Chef Danny traveled to Maine a week before the wedding to work with a local forager to get the freshest fish, produce, and local ingredients for every part of the wedding meal. Chef Danny worked with the exceptional team at Stone Cove Catering who provided support for service staff, bar, and rentals. The meal was certainly a highlight of the beautiful day, for all 80 lucky guests. Amanda worked with One & Supp to create a dreamy design for their ceremony on the waterfront lawn and for their bright and comfortable reception inside the sailcloth tent. At the end of the reception, guests boarded a bus and took the celebration back to the Lincolnville Motel, where I am certain they celebrated until the wee hours of dawn like only folks from New York can do!
