Lena Hartford from Hair That Moves is a very skilled traveling hairstylist. I had the privilege of working with Lena for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding day for my own wedding. The morning of my wedding, she styled my bridal party, mother and grandmothers; it was a busy day. There were so many of us and Lena did a beautiful job with each style she provided. Lena has a wonderful calming energy, and because we had a trial in advance, my hair was exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day. What more could a bride want? Her years of experience and skill make her an incredible member of any wedding vendor team. If you are still seeking a hairstylist who will travel to your location for your wedding, consider my friend Lena.
It will be 23 years in April 2017.
It takes about 30 minutes for bridesmaids and other attendants. I like to schedule an hour with the bride.
Well yes, I do recommend having a hair trial, and the cost is included in my fee. Sometimes, with out-of-town brides, I don’t get to see them for a trial before the wedding. That happens often but it’s not a problem, we make it work.
I always recommend people chose their hairstyle knowing the weather could be less than ideal. I often recommend a Plan A and a Plan B. The Plan B would still be gorgeous and something they love, but it might be a style like an up-do that’s more secure and has more longevity than the Plan A style.
Yes, I love pictures. This is a visual craft and seeing everything helps me to get an understanding of the feel for the wedding and the look the bride is trying to achieve. In most cases discussing these photos with a bride helps her solidify the look that she is trying to achieve – teamwork!
Of course, I love it!
I would say York. My family and I love the beaches and exploring, but there are not many places in Maine that I don’t love!
